Under the different climate change scenarios, droughts intensity and frequency are expected to increase CITE. Even in the new scenario of a collapsing AMOC, a dryer weather is expected, although in this case with a colder climate in the Northern Hemisphere. Because of that, a way to adapt to this new situation while maintaining the ecosystem functions and services is mandatory.
